We're operators. Not consultants.
Social Catnip is a small marketing-engineering agency based out of Glenrock, Wyoming. We embed into growth-stage teams and ship the front-end and martech work as if we worked there, because most of us used to.
Built for the work, not the deck.
Social Catnip is the agency I (Sean Gowing) wanted to hire when I worked in-house at growth-stage SaaS companies. Most agencies show up with a deck, build the thing, then disappear. The systems they leave behind quietly fall apart, the CMS gets messy, the tracking drifts, the integrations stop talking to each other, and your team's left to clean up.
We work like operators because we were operators. Sprint pressure, stakeholder reviews, missed launch windows, we've been there. So we embed: same Slack, same Figma, same standup if you want us in it. We ship code into your repo and dashboards your CFO can defend in a board meeting.
We're deliberately small. Seven specialties. Seven core platforms. One PM, one invoice. The whole pipeline wired by the same team that built the front of it.
Sean Gowing, founder.
Grew up between Wyoming and the Pacific Northwest. Spent a decade leading growth-engineering teams in-house at SaaS companies, from seed-stage scrappers to Series-D enterprise, before starting Social Catnip in 2019 to build the kind of operator-grade agency he couldn't find when he needed one.
Service-disabled veteran. Reviews every brief that comes through the front door personally. Hardline on deadlines, soft on bureaucracy.
Four rules we don't bend.
Every proposal repeats these. They're the reasons growth teams keep us on retainer past month twelve.
Embedded, not arms-length
We work inside your team, sprint cadence, Slack channels, weekly demos. No mystery meat in a Notion doc you'll never read.
Fixed-price proposals
Scopes have hard end dates and fixed prices. If the work changes, we re-scope on the table, not silently in a Slack DM.
Tied to revenue, not vanity
Every deploy ships with the tracking already wired. You see lift in pipeline within 30 days, or we find out why and fix it.
Documentation as a deliverable
Clean repo, editor training, written diagnoses. Whether you stay on retainer or hand off internally, what we built should keep working.

Veteran-owned. Wyoming-built.
Led by Sean Gowing out of Wyoming. Hardline on deadlines, soft on bureaucracy. Roots in the local business community, clients across two continents.
Small team. Long memory.
Deliberately small, deliberately tenured. We've been doing this together long enough to recognize the patterns.
Glenrock, Wyoming. Working everywhere.
HQ sits on the edge of the high plains, just east of Casper. The team is distributed across the US and Europe. We work async by default, sync on demand, and we're comfortable on every time zone our clients live in.
